The 2018 Summer Walk took place on the morning of 7 July. There were 6 participants. The weather was very hot, 28 deg C (82 deg F), which may have accounted for the fact that fewer birds were observed in the village and a lot more were heard/seen in the woods. This walk was notable for another reaon: John Sandford missed a bird walk for the first time since he initiated the walks in 2009.
