The Spring Bird Walk took place on the morning of 28 April, a grey and cold day with rain constantly threatening, in an unusually late spring. Despite the weather, eighteen people participated (including five children), and the 25 species listed below were recorded – one fewer  than on last year’s Spring Walk, but with two new species to add to the list: Marsh Tit and Willow Warbler. This latter, plus Whitethroat and Chiffchaff, made up the total of the three ‘classic’ summer visitors recorded on the walk.
