The walk took place on 27 October. There were five participants, and the weather was bright and cold. (In fact, the first cold weather after a very mild early autumn and hot summer – the late onset of cold weather probably accounted for the absence of any winter migrants: fieldfares and redwings began to arrive in Woodcote a week later.)The following 25 species were recorded.
