The Spring Bird Walk took place on the morning of 30 April, a bright but cool day after some weeks of indifferent and often wet weather. Five people participated, and the 23 species listed below were recorded – four fewer than on last year’s Spring Walk. Of the ‘classic’ summer visitors we recorded House Martin, Whitethroat, Chiffchaff and Blackcap. Though we saw no Swallows during the walk (unlike last year), some had already been seen elsewhere in the village.
