The Walk took place on 30 January. The weather was bright but cloudy with a cold wind. Seven people took part. The number of species recorded – 18 – was one of the lowest for any of our walks, and the absence of Fieldfares, Redwings, and Gulls was especially unusual for a winter walk. As with the 2015 winter walk, the numbers of individual birds were strikingly limited.
