Autumn Bird Walk 2024
The walk took place on the morning of 2 November, a very still, mild, and initially misty day. There were five participants, and the following twenty-four species were recorded. The redwings and fieldfares were the only specifically winter visitors noted. Perhaps the most notable result was the failure to register a single pheasant – usually the most prominently visible and audible of the birds encountered in all three areas covered by these walks!
