The Spring Bird Walk took place on the morning of 1st May, a pleasant but cool day in a late and mainly cold spring. Thirteen people participated, and the 29 species listed below were recorded. Two species (Great-spotted Woodpecker and Swallow) seen on last year’s Spring Walk were not seen this year, but there were five additions to the 2009 Spring list: Collared Dove, Carrion Crow, Red-legged Partridge, Jay, and Song Thrush.
