Winter Bird Walk 2012

 

 The Bird Walk took place on the morning of 28 January, a grey and cool day. Four people participated, and the following 27 species were recorded. This was two more than on the two previous Winter Walks. Five species noted the previous year - Pheasant, Tawny Owl, Pied Wagtail, Nuthatch, and Redpoll - were not recorded this time, but in their place seven new species were recorded: Herring Gull, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Redwing, Skylark, Long-tailed Tit, Starling, and Goldfinch.
