 Winter Bird Walk 2009

 


Eight participants took part in the Winter Bird Walk on Saturday 7 February 2009, between 10.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon.

The weather was bright and cold, with snow on the ground (it had been abnormally cold and snowy over the preceding week)

Spring Bird Walk 2009

 

The Spring Bird Walk took place on the morning of 2nd May - a pleasant spring day - and followed the same route as the Winter Walk. Nine people participated, and the following 26 species were recorded:

Summer Bird Walk 2009

 

The Summer Bird Walk took place on the morning of 18 July - a pleasant day during an otherwise indifferent month - and followed the usual route. Three people participated, and the following 32 species were recorded:

The Autumn Bird Walk took place on the morning of 17 October - a cool but sunny day - and followed the usual route. Eight people participated, and the following 35 species were recorded:
